About me

Because everyone likes to see a face behind a blog and a person that is actually doing stuff, I’d like to introduce myself.

My name is Florian, I am 22 years old and I am student at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg (Austria). I am in a program called Mobile Computing which focuses on software development in combination with mobile and wireless contacted gadgets which does not explicitly address mobile phones. During my education I gathered working experience in the range of software and hardware development, as well as mobile services and predominantly wireless communication (signal processing, modulation techniques, channel coding).

Attention should be paid to the fact that not only mobile devices are within the focus of this education. Also distributed software systems, location based services and some social skills are mediated.

Up to now I twice acted as project manager for midsize software and hardware projects and at the same time I developed a significant part of these projects on my own. As you might read in this blog, the projects nationally and internationally achieved sustained success. I get involved with my work and I also posses the ability to incorporate myself into a team, I am able to coordinate stuff and I can motivate project collaborators. During the development of these two projects I managed to express my creativity as well.

I have done some research and exercices or tiny projects in very different fields, so please feel free to contact me if you are interested in more details. During the last time I also focused on computer graphics and animation in combination with technical topics like machine learning strategies.

The reason why I actually created the block was simply to get in touch with people that are maybe also interested in the same topics and also to show what can be done now and what might be done in the next few years concerning ubiquitious computing, which involves communication, location bases services, mobile entertainment, home automation and just some other stuff to make life easier and more safe.

In my freetime I really get involved with sports, computer game and music, which is also reflected by my work (eg audio production or computer graphics). I am an enthusiastic skier/snowboarder and I enjoy doing some martial arts like Aikido which provides me with new mental strength to stand the sometimes everlasting programming or gaming sessions in front of the PC .
